Hi there! I’m Leland, the founder of Instant IT. I started Instant IT because I believe there is a better way to do IT support, where customers are earned rather than taken for granted. A tech geek since I was a teenager teaching my friends how to build their own PCs, I’ve since honed my skills over many years in the professional IT and audio industries. My mission is to help take the stress out of tech, so you can get things done and, importantly, enjoy the process. Here at Instant IT we focus on all things tech, from PCs, laptops, servers and cloud systems, to audio-visual set-ups. We’re excited to simplify technology for everyone.
I founded Instant IT in 2019 when I realised that most IT support businesses never went the extra mile to explain tech lingo in plain English, or to educate their clients on the systems and software they were using so that they could learn to operate independently. A lot of the big IT support companies seem to treat their customers as cash cows, taking advantage of their lack of IT knowledge to bill job after job, without giving the customer the tools to solve their own issues and become their own IT person.
I want to change that by offering the best education to my customers. While fixing your IT problem, I’ll explain how the issue arose, and how to best avoid it in the future. I’ll also explain IT terms in plain English, so you can understand what is happening, and judge the value of the service with full information.
